Now hiring for a Senior Staff Accountant!

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

The Senior Staff Accountant will serve as a central driver of Finance operations, treasury management, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and strategic execution. This role carries independent decision-making authority, process ownership, and visible influence across both culture and leadership alignment. The ideal candidate brings confidence, precision, and a collaborating mind-set, and will play a key role in shaping the department’s financial posture and performance rhythm.  This is a hybrid position which requires coming into the office at least 3 times/week.  

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
  • Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience required, ideally within healthcare or nonprofit sector
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, general ledger systems, and regulatory reporting
  • Experience with Medicare cost report, Form 990, grant compliance, audit coordination, and financial modeling preferred
  • Prior experience in an FQHC, CMHC, or grant-funded healthcare environment is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets and other computer applications/software to provide fiscal analysis
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and procedures required
  • Blackbaud experience, a plus

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Must have reliable transportation to to attend trainings and/or meetings
