Now interviewing for Fundraising Specialist

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

The Fundraising Specialist position plays an integral role in efforts related to building relationships with individuals and organizations that support and align with our mission and values. This position is responsible for developing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for mid, major, and capital donors. In addition, the Fundraising Specialist works with department and agency leadership on donor communications, donor development plans, and coordination with other fundraising activities. This hybrid position requires travel within the community for meetings, trainings, and/or events, as needed.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, philanthropy, public relations, marketing or related major from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education plus a minimum of 2 years combined experience in planning and implementing successful donor development strategies and/or assisting with other fundraising activities or
  • Associates's degree in business, communications, philanthropy, public relations, marketing or related major from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education plus a minimum of 4 years combined experience in planning and implementing successful donor development strategies and/or assisting with other fundraising activities or
  • A high school diploma plus six (6) years combined experience in planning and implementing successful donor development strategies and/or assisting with other fundraising activities required
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Experience with CRM software preferred, experience with GiveSmart highly preferred
  • Experience in capital campaigns preferred
  • Experience in not-for-profit healthcare preferred

  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone, video  or in person
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
  • Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends
  • Demonstrate the ability to monitor and meet income goals
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking skills
  • Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
  • Must have reliable transportation to attend trainings and/or meetings
