Support Associate - Progress House

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

 

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, both internally to Progress House employees and externally to resident/clients, visitors, etc., and providing a variety of administrative duties to support Progress House. Duties include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Preparing resident/client charts for opening and closing
  • Responding promptly to resident/client and staff requests via telephone, email, Electronic Health Record (EHR) messages or in person
  • Filing resident/client charts, reports, billing and miscellaneous paperwork accurately
  • Scheduling clinical assessments after admission
  • Medicaid management
  • Conducting admission of newly admitted residents
  • Assuring all necessary information is properly entered into the EHR

 

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • One (1) year of related healthcare/medical administrative support experience highly preferred
  • Previous insurance billing experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience in a mental health/behavioral health setting and/or medical office setting preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records helpful
  • Experience in Recovery Works and SORS, a plus

  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person
  • Must have good data entry skills
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
