Aspire Indiana Health (Aspire) is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary 

The Senior Director of Addictions Services will provide operational leadership, direction, and development of clinical functions, programs, and services in the areas of substance use and addictions while advancing and supporting Aspire's Mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.  The primary responsibilites include: Oversight of residential treatment and operations;  effective collaboration with clinical leadership in regards to curriculum development, programming and delivery; partnership in incorporating recovery supports in the continuum of care; and will be accountable for identified metrics, data monitoring, staffing, compliance and quality (in collaboration with other departments).  This position influences all of Aspire’s substance use and addiction treatment continuum, ensuring that we approach each individual from a “whole health” paradigm.  The Senior Director of Addictions Services will consistently communicate and effectively collaborate with other Senior Leadership  to ensure the highest quality of client care. As a member of Aspire leadership, the position will foster a strong agency culture and serve as a leader that will continuously promote direction and expectations in conjunction with the administration of Aspire Indiana.

 

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from an accredited university, required
  • Seven (7) years related work experience with at least three (3) years in a senior clinical leadership capacity within the field of substance use disorders, required
  • Experience in 24/7 residential treatment facilities and recovery housing, preferred
  • Experience in building State and community partnerships is a plus 

 

Licensure

  • Recognized as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Indiana, or other clinical licensure, required
  • Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC,) preferred

  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
  • Demonstrate the ability to be an effective leader and role model
  • Must have excellent collaboration, supervisory, and soft skills, such as relationship-building, communications, listening, negotiation and diplomacy
  • Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
  • Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend trainings and/or meetings
