Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

The Grant Writer will lead the researching and evaluation of grant funders and grant opportunities. The Grant Writer will facilitate the development, completion, and submission of grant applications and other proposals.

 

Education/Experience/Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in english/writing, nonprofit studies, business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or a directly related human service field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required, plus two (2) years of experience with grant writing highly preferred; or 
  • A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience with federal and non-federal grant writing experience
  • Previous experience with business development preferred
  • Previous experience with private and corporate grant proposals highly preferred
  • Previous experience with federal and/or state grant proposals highly preferred
  • Knowledge of not-for-profit healthcare preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
  • Must have strong editing skills and the ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
